I am Lurdes Ondaro, a Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge. Previously, I was a PhD fellow at Donostia International Physics Center. In my research, I construct precise models of Large Scale structure statistics, using large cosmological simulations.

The large-scale structure of the Universe we observe today is the end product of the intricate evolution of dark matter and baryon fluctuations, shaped by gravity and hydrodynamic forces, within a cosmos now dominated by dark energy. In my research, I try to understand and model various aspects of this process of structure formation, thus aiming to shed light on its fundamental components: dark matter and dark energy.
To answer to these questions, I run and analyze cosmological simulations. My work encompasses developing novel numerical techniques to reliably simulate structure formation, as well as building fast and accurate models of LSS statistics.
